Willie Mae Helms

Willie Mae Helms, age 84, of Pencil Bluff, AR, departed this life on November 25, 2019 at the Montgomery County Nursing in Mount Ida, AR. She was born April 29, 1935, in Boles, AR, to the late Willie Allen and Janie Mae Kemp. Willie Mae is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband; Damon Helms, brothers: William Kenton Kemp, Jack Kemp and Levi Kemp, sisters: Dorothy Roseberry, JoAnn McConnell and Dell Playford.

She is survived by one son, Duwayne Helms of Pencil Bluff, grandaughter, Melissa Gray (Kevin) of Pencil Bluff, AR, great grandchildren, Deshay Baker Jones (Luke) of Gravelly, AR, Aaron Baker of Pencil Bluff, AR, Travis Gray (Haillie) of Story, AR, Ty Gray and Tegan Gray of Pencil Bluff, AR, great-great-grandchildren, Belle and Emma of Story, AR and Jaxxon Jones of Gravelly, AR.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 6-8 at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Center Point Cemetery in Hon, AR with Bro. Andy Kennedy officiating. Pallbearers, Ty Gray, Steven Simmons, Travis Gray, Heath McConnell, Freddy Joe McConnell, and Tony Breshears. Honorary pallbearers; Lynnie Strother, Ann Sanchez, Jennie Pate, Bonnie McConnell, Kayla Rose, Sharron Cantrell and the Staff of Montgomery County Nursing Home.
