Maxine Morrow Pearce

Maxine Morrow Pearce, 89, of Oden, AR went to be the Lord July 17, 2025, in Hot Springs, AR, with family by her side. Maxine was born November 17, 1935, in Lepanto, AR to Thomas Richard and Lois Audrey (Lemon) Morrow. At an early age she moved to the Monticello community in Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Pearce, parents, Thomas Richard and Lois Morrow, her three younger siblings, Kathleen, Joyce, and William Morrow, granddaughter, Laura Byrd, and great grandchild, Emily Byrd.

She married the love of her life on April 26, 1954, and briefly moved with him to an Air Force base in Arizona before moving back to the Monticello Community in Louisiana. Maxine and Clifford moved to Oden, Arkansas in April 1975 and helped start Washita Missionary Baptist Church in Story, AR. Throughout her life, she was a cotton, soybean, chicken, and cattle farmer, and had times of selling Home Interiors, Pampered Chef, Stanley, and Mr. Bee Pollen products. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Maxine is survived by her four children, Curtis Pearce and wife Sandy, Laura June Lewsader and husband Ron, John Pearce and wife Marci, and Mary Anna Norman and husband Gary, nine grandchildren, Claire Quartana and husband Jason, Shelby Stockman, Ruthanne Richard and husband Patrick, Matthew Pearce and wife Samantha, Lacey Byrd, Ariel Ervin and husband John, Garrett Pearce, and Ethan Pearce and wife Nicole, thirteen great grandchildren (and growing), and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10am at the Oden Cemetery in Oden, AR. Bro. Gary Smith and Bro. Brian Balch will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be all grandchildren.
