Mary Ellen (Self) Hite, 94, of Story, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, November 5th, 2026, in Mount Ida. She was born June 12th, 1932, in Newport, Arkansas to William Fountain and Lola (Matthews) Self. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband; Frank Hite I and their son; George Hite.
Mary is survived by her grandson; Frank (Sarah) Hite II, great grandchildren; Frank Hite III, Catherine Hite, Harper Hite and great-great granddaughter, River Hite.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11th, 2026, 4-6pm at the Thornton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held Thursday, November 12th, 2026, 1pm at Augusta Memorial Park in Augusta, Arkansas. Arrangements were made and directed by Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, Arkansas.
