Lorraine Robins

Lorraine Robins, 97 (Doover or Doo as she was known by family), of Mount Ida, went to be with the Good Lord on Saturday, August 23, 2025, she was born September 8, 1927, to Lloyd and Helen (Irons) Radford. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Mearl C Robins.

She had a great love for her pets Baby Girl. She loved to Read the bible; she loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a lifelong resident of Mount Ida where she held many jobs titles, she worked for DHS, (which she still called it the welfare office). She and her husband owned Robins Farms, Robins Mining, Williams & Robins Real Estate, and Lorraine’s fashions where she was bookkeeper for all. She played the piano beautifully every Sunday at church until she was no longer able.

Lorraine is survived by her sister Patty Elder and her nephew Bill Scrimshire who she adored along with many other nieces and nephews and friends who loved her.

A Graveside Service will be at the Owley Cemetery Wednesday August 27, 2025 @ 2PM. Pallbearers are David Minton, Carolyn Minton, Casey Minton, Donna Bolin, Bryan Bolin, and Robert Talley. Arrangements under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
