John Daniel Zmuda

John Zmuda, 79, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away November 12, 2025, at home with family by his side. John was born December 15, 1945, in Des Plaines, IL to Dan and Harriett Zmuda. John is preceded in death by both parents.

John is survived by his wife of 35 years Dean (Jones) Zmuda, grandson Cory Porter, great grandson Lake Porter, sister-in-law Jo Childress, Sarah Jimerson, and Nina Rucker, the mother of his grandson Kari Dougan and husband Danny, special friends Burt and Mary Scales, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2pm at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Burt Scales will officiate, the service. Arrangements under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com.
