Jeneva E. Robbins, 78, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born January 31, 1945, in Hot Springs, to Samuel and Mollie (Knox) Hughes. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Doug Robbins, brother Harold Hughes and sister Virginia Midkiff.
Jeneva was a member of Mount Ida First Baptist Church for over 40 years, she was well known and well-loved throughout her community. She retired in 1995 from teaching study hall and driving a school bus to take care of her new grandson and sell Avon full time. She loved sharing about her Christian faith, and she loved teaching her Sunday school class. You could find her either working at the thrift shop or working on her farm, where she kept up with a huge rose garden and many other flowers, tended to her cows, and loved to bake her famous homemade sourdough bread.
Jeneva is survived by her daughter Merle (Bill Barnes) Buxton, sons Bob (Jennifer) Buxton and William (Charl) Buxton, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother Charles Hughes along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A celebration of Jeneva’s life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 10:00am at Mount Ida First Baptist Church with Bro. Don Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Heritage House Museum of Montgomery County
