Jamie Brandon Carmack

Jamie Brandon Carmack, 48, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 16th, 2020 at home. Jamie was born August 8th, 1972, in Rota, Spain, to Larry Grady and Joni L. (Newberry) Carmack. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Grady and Cletis Carmack & Jerry and Frankie (Newton) Newberry.

Jamie is survived by his parents; Larry and Joni Carmack of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, brother; Barry (Heidi) Carmack of El Bajon, California, sister: Vanessa (Scott) Bodendorfer and nephews, Grady and Dylan, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as well as a host of other family and friends.

“Jamie was a quiet man whose thoughts ran deep”. He enjoyed storm chasing, computers, photography and fishing. Jamie proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp as an F-18 aircraft mechanic and an IT tech.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 21st, 2020, 2:00pm at Mount Olive Cemetery in Oden, Arkansas with Douglas Carmack officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
