James A. Harrison, 52, of Sims, AR passed away on August 27, 2021 at CHI St Vincent in Hot Springs, AR.
James was born on February 1, 1969 to Larry and Karen Harrison. He married the love of his life, Angelia (Stovall) Harrison on May 21, 1994.
James was a Veteran of The United States Army, where he served as a combat Engineer. While serving he was awarded the sharpshooter qualification badge rifle M16, the marksman qualification badge hand grenade, and Army service ribbon.
James worked for Auto Zone in Hot Springs Village. While working for Auto Zone, he was presented the adjutant generals diamond award for his selfless dedication to the safety of Captain Jeremy Cossey and his family on August 29, 2020. His selfless act reflects the values of the Air Force, Army, and National Guard. This award was presented to James by Kendall W. Penn, Major General, The Adjutant General.
James was preceded in death by his, maternal grandparents, Chester and Sibyl Massey of Story, AR. and his paternal grandparents James Shelton and Beulah Harrison of Dyess, AR.
James is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Angelia Harrison, his children to which he adored, son Anthony Harrison of Clinton, AR and daughter Ashley Harrison of Conway, AR., his parents, Larry and Karen Harrison of Sheridan, AR., his brother, Barton Harrison of Maumelle., his sister, Michelle (Beau) Medsker of Benton, and their children Caleb Butler and Claire Medsker. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and his extended family on his wife’s side.
James loved his family, all razorback sports, fishing, and hunting. He will be greatly missed by all.
