Howard Meeks

Howard Meeks, 81, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away, Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Hot Springs. He was born January 1, 1942, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Jessie Jackson Meeks and Malinda Lorene (McClain) Meeks. Howard was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son, Eugene Meeks, his sisters, Mary Dardene, Vivian Lampkin and Ernestine Meeks.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Meeks, brothers, James Meeks and Thomas Meeks and sister, Edna Meeks, stepson, David Mazzella, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Wally Vertz along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Friday, February 24, 2023, 1:00 pm, at First Baptist Church of Mount Ida with Bro. Bill Ashburn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Thornton Funeral Service in Mt. Ida. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
