Everett "Bill" Cobb

Everett (Bill) Cobb, 94, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away August 16, 2026 in Mount Ida. He was born November 28, 1931, in Norman, Arkansas to Harvey and Inez (Gaston) Cobb. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Myrtle (Alexander) Cobb, sister Ruth Fryar brothers H.T. Cobb and Lonnie Cobb.

Bill is survived by his wife of 74 years-Wynemia (Hamilton) Cobb of Mount Ida, his children Jerry Cobb of Mount Ida, Janice (Thomas) Breashears of Mena, Arkansas, Lisa (Eugene) Qualls of Holiday Island, Arkansas. Grandchildren: Benjamin Breashears of Hardy, Arkansas, Daniel Breashears of Mena, Arkansas, Kevin Breashears of Bentonville, Arkansas, Cody (Markie) Qualls of Berryville, Arkansas. Great grandchildren Maryn and Harper Qualls. His Sister Ruthie Cobb of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Many nieces, nephews and other family.

Bill retired in 1985 after working 32 years for the Forest Service. He started his career as a Timber Marker on Womble District and retired as a Timber Sale Administrator.

Bill enjoyed time with his wife and family more than anything. He loved being in the outdoors, deer hunting and gardening

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 1 to 2 at the Thornton Funeral Home Chapel with service starting at 2pm with Bro. Don Vaughn officiating.
