Barbara Skriba, age 78, of Mount Ida, Arkansas passed away January 13, 2022, at MCNH, in Mount Ida, Arkansas. Barbara was born April 9, 1943, in Mountain Pine, Arkansas to the late Grady and Cletis Carmack. She is preceded in death by both her parents and husband, Michell “Mike” Skriba.
Barbara is survived by her son Nathan Cochran of Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers Larry Carmack and wife Joni of Broken Arrow, OK; Cordell Carmack and Wife Teresa of Oden, Arkansas; Nieces Vanessa Bodendorfer of Broken Arrow, OK and Angelia Carmack of Sims, Arkansas; two nephews; Barry Carmack, El Cajon, California, and Andrew Carmack of Oden, Arkansas.
Barbara lived in Arkansas most of her life, moving from Hot Springs to Little Rock and Fort Smith.
Barbara’s family would like to express it heartfelt gratitude to the Administrators, nurses, and staff of
the Montgomery County Nursing Home who cared for her so professionally and compassionately.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 15 th from 11 to 2 pm, at Thornton Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, January 17, 2022, at Thornton Funeral Home. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, Arkansas. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com.
