Therman Olen To White

Therman Olen (T. O.) White, age 91, of Story, AR, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at CHI St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR.

He was born on October 21, 1928, in Boles, AR, to Noah and Sleeter (Phillips) White.
T. O. enjoyed a rewarding career with the Lubbock, TX Fire Department before returning to Arkansas for his retirement.

He was a loving father, grandfather and husband to his devoted wife of 66 years, Margaret (Hopper), who preceded him in death. T. O. was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Namon, Otis and Fletcher; and several children of his siblings.

He is survived by daughters, Terry of Story, AR, Sandra (husband Sandy) Garten, of Cary, NC, and Brenda (husband Terry) Talley, of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Jeremy (wife Emma) Housand of Kintnersville, PA, Chris Garten of Lansdale, PA, and Matt (wife Katherine) Talley of Austin, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was a father figure to his nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, family members have chosen to postpone T. O.‘s funeral services until it is safe to congregate for a memorial service.
