Ralph Wayne Rohweder

Ralph Wayne Rohweder, 91 1/2, of Hot Springs, (formerly of East Moline, Illinois) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2020. He was born on July 27, 1928, in Moline, Illinois.

Ralph was a hard-working and dedicated man who had a passion for working on cars. He worked nearly 30 years as an auto-mechanic and afterwards earned service manager status for his work ethic. His hobbies included refinishing furniture, cooking chili on Saturday nights, and grilling WELL DONE hamburgers and hot dogs.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Zena Rohweder; one sister, Lois Powell; and one son-in-law, Stan Heard.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 70 years, Donna Rohweder; one brother, Glen Rohweder; two sons, Mike (Laurie) Rohweder and Bart (Beverly) Rohweder; four daughters, Penney Heard, Sherrie (Jim) Abbitt, Merry Rohweder, Tara (Jim) Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, from 10:00am to 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Royal. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Pastor George Lynch and Pastor Louie Heard officiating. A private burial will be held later.
