Nancy Booth, 62, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at home. She was born December 13, 1958 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to E. Harold “Sandy” Black and Susie Fisher Brakefield. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and brother; Roy Harold Black.

Nancy is survived by her husband; Lance Booth, 3 daughters; Shanda (Eric) Powell, Kalyn (John Paul) Jones and Jenna Jones, and 4 grandchildren; Sarah Clark, Jacob Clark, Ayvah Powell and Adalyn Powell, sister; Betty (John) Boling and brother Johnny Black, along with host of other family and friends.

Nancy was a lifelong educator. After 20 years of service, she retired from UA Rich Mountain where she impacted the lives of countless students. She made a profound difference in the lives of students and her colleagues by being an unwavering, compassionate champion of students. She was the driving force behind the UA Rich Mountain Montgomery County Center.

Her ability to provide vital emotional support and encouragement to students empowered them to enter into higher education; as well as her innate kindness that alleviated math anxiety for numerous students. She made an immeasurable positive impact for students by supporting and advocating for continued growth and learning opportunities. She has been a loyal ambassador, active supporter, and enthusiastic promoter of both students and the College.

Her passionate contributions made a significant difference in the lives of students, faculty, staff, and colleagues at UA Rich Mountain.

Aside from helping others, she enjoyed spending time with her husband of 23 years, her children, and her precious grandchildren.

Heaven gained another angel, and to her family and friends the most loved angel of all.

Memorial service will be Friday, April 23, 2021, 1:00pm at the The Standridge Place 2988 HWY 270 E, Mount Ida, Arkansas.
