Mary Pierce, age 81, of Mount Ida, Arkansas passed away December 27, 2021 at National Park Medical Center, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Mary was born on December 2, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late John (Pat) and Ida Mae (Tisch) Pattillo. She is preceded in death by both her parents, and her brother, Jimmy Pattillo.

Mary has lived in Mount Ida for 25 years; she was a member of the Lake Quachita Baptist Church, a member and Treasure of Extension Homemakers of Mount Ida, she also was a part of the kitchen committee at Lake Quachita Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Montgomery County Food Bank for many years.

Mary is survived by her husband; David Pierce of 62 years, sons; David C. Pierce of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Brett A. Pierce and wife Nancy K. of Rison, Arkansas; a grandson; Michael B. Pierce, mother in law; Mildred Faye Pierce and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Services will be Friday, December 31, 2021, 10:00 am, at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church in Mount Ida, with Bro. Ty Huitt officiating with burial at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Pine Bluff, AR. Pallbearers; Jimmy Humphrey, Ronnie Humphrey, Blake Humphrey, Carson Humphrey, Craig Pierce, and James Edwards. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Montgomery County Food Bank 117 Ray Drive Mount Ida , Arkansas 71957. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
