Lonnie Ray Gaston

Lonnie Ray Gaston, 70, of Norman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, in Hot Springs from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was born April 8, 1951 in Mount Ida to Waymon and Viva (Wilson) Gaston. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, a special brother-in-law; Jerry Smith and his beloved puppy Patches.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 7 years; Diane Gaston, 2 daughters; Alisha (Eric) Westervelt and April (Nick) Elder, 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers; John (Carol) Gaston and David (Emma) Gaston, 4 sisters; Juanita (Doyne) Staton, Wanda (Mack) Rose, Brenda Smith and Mary (Ronnie ) Chambers along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

There will be Celebration of Lonnie’s Life, April 30, 2022 10:00 am, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Mount Ida. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
