Lj Manley

On Saturday, August 14th, 2021, LJ Manley, loving husband and father passed away, at the age of 86.

LJ was one of five children to the late Dave and Lela Manley. He was born July 12, 1935 and was delivered by a mid-wife, Hazel Simpson. He survived polio at a very early age and only had a second grade education.

In 1955, while working on the Oahe Dam, in Pierre, South Dakota, LJ met and married, the love of his life, Hope Darleen Badger. They moved to Arkansas and started a family.

He never met a stranger and traveled the county working hard to provide for his family. LJ was a true “Jack of all trades” and could do anything.

He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing, that he instilled in his children and grandchildren. You never saw him alone, he always had his wife by his side.

LJ was liked by all he met, loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
