Irene Brakefield

Irene Brakefield, 91, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 in Mount Ida, Arkansas. She was born November 5, 1929, in Mount Ida, AR to the late Louis and Florence (Barrett) Brakefield. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Joe, daughter; Robin, sisters; Estelene, Reggie, Helen, and Jessie Faye.

Irene is survived by one son; Scott (Vicki) Brakefield of Mount Ida, AR one daughter; Tracy (Al) Johnston of Jenks, OK, granddaughters; Stacy (Chris) Duncan of Mayflower, AR, Tara (Travis) Teague of Van Buren, AR, Amy (Jason) James of Benton, AR, Amanda (Toby) Carver of Mount Ida, AR and Chelsea Grady of Jenks, Ok, great grandchildren; Lindsay, Delaney, Taylor, Noah, Barrett, Brody, Jemma, Karlie, Caroline, Brent and Carrie, great great grandchildren; Oliver, Kamber, Harley, Jaidyn and Caleb, one sister; Louie Dean Stanley of Mount Ida, AR, several nieces nephews and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Montgomery County Assisted Living and Mount Ida food pantry.
