Gregory Paul Dean

Gregory Paul Dean, 63, of Oden, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 24th, 2022, at his home. He was born March 9th, 1958, in Tacoma, Washington, to Elmer Ray and Shirley Juanita (Norton) Dean. He is preceded in death by his father; Elmer Dean, sisters; Rebecca Dean and Robin Nelson, brother; Marty Dean and his stepdad; Howard Church.

Gregory is survived by his daughter; Honey Dean, grandsons; Anthony and James Ward, siblings; Melody Wittman, Terrie (Charles) Yandell, Patrick (Holly) Dean, Mark (Karen) Dean, Michael Dean, Ramone Pierre (Pamela) Ferry, stepbrothers; Gregory Church, Steven Church and Kenneth Church.

Out of high school Greg joined the Navy and after being discharged spent most of his life in Washington State working in many lines of work; paint, body work, restoring cars and all kinds of painting mostly. After leaving Washington he spent 6 years in Thailand, learning their culture and enjoying a far simpler way of life. With declining health, he had to return to the states, settling here in Arkansas, where he fit right in with us.
