Elton C Ellison

Elton “Cotton” Ellison, 83, of Oden, AR, passed away January 30, 2024. Cotton was born on December 1, 1940, in Oden, AR to Oran and Mildred (Fryar) Ellison. He is preceded in death by both his parents.

Cotton is survived by his wife Kathy Ellison of 63 years, two sons Lance Ellison (Ginger), Buck Ellison, daughter Jodi Callahan, eight grandchildren Blake Ellison (Lydia), Cassie Provence(Jason), Brittany Mayberry (Ira), Cole Ellison (Laney), Jade Ewing (Nathanael), Ty Callahan (Makayla), Braison Ellison (Stormie), and Tanner Callahan (Bailee), seven great grandchildren Ellie Provence, Haegen Walden, Ara Mayberry, Hylynn Mayberry, Henry Ellison, Mayle Ewing, Kayce Ellison, brother Tom Ellison (Raenette), nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church with burial in Mount Olive Cemetery. Bro. Kyle Cowart will officiate. Pallbearers Jason Provence, Cole Ellison, Blake Ellison, Braison Ellison, Ty Callahan, Tanner Callahan. Arrangements are under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida.
