Ed loved his family and any sports his kids or grandkids were playing. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a baseball card and memorabilia collector to the extreme. He left teaching to go to work at the sawmill business with his father-in-law OJ Tubbs, then Ed and Sue owned and operated an Otasco Store for 8 years until selling and becoming a partner in the sawmill with OJ Tubbs until he purchased the mill. After closing the mill Ed was an Ad Valorem Tax Appraiser for Mack Reynolds Appraisal Company in Glenwood and then for AR Cama Technology where he retired because of health problems in 2017.
