Charles Vernon Arnett

Charles Vernon Arnett Jr.”Poppa” was born September 25th, 1946 in Dallas, TX. He passed away on Thursday, December 5th, 2019, surrounded by his girls. Vernon is survived by the love of his life, Rita; his girls Renee’ (and Jerrod) Perkins of Pencil Bluff, AR; Nicole (and Chris) Cusick of Hot Springs, AR; and Kristina (and Drew) Packard of Centerton,AR; and his grandsons Chandler Perkins, Chance Perkins, AJ Packard, and Benjamin Packard. Vernon proudly served his country in the United States Army.

When you met Vernon you immediately noticed his signature style. He word his cowboy hat, boots and cut offs, all complimented by his handlebar mustache. For almost 30 years Mountain Harbor was his second home. As construction manager, it was his honor to participate in the development and expansion of all Harbor properties.

Good times to him meant kicking back with his family and friends and hosting gatherings at their home. He was a true cowboy and loved horses, country music and the great outdoors. His favorite place on Earth was Arnett Lane in Pencil Bluff with his soulmate, Rita and their three daughters.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Mountain Harbor Resort on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather at East Cove Pavilion to celebrate his life with a reception at C20 (in Harbor North) immediately following.
