Billy "Bill" Hughbanks

Billy “Bill” F. Hughbanks, age 71, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at his residence in Story, Arkansas. Born on October 2, 1951, in Mount Ida, Arkansas, to Lloyd (Blue) Hughbanks and Maedean Hughbanks, Bill was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband and friend.

Bill was a man of simple pleasures who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for work and taking his dog for rides in his truck. Bill was grateful to Mount Ida Service Center for keeping him and the dog entertained and his trucks running.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Hughbanks, his loving sisters, Lynn Hackney and Reggia Ross, his cherished niece, DeAnn (Chris) Williams, nephews, james (Patti) Ross, Dennis Collins, John (Jalynn) Hackney, Cameron Collins and his 5 great nieces.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd (Blue) Hughbanks and Maedean Hughbanks.

His wife and family want to say a heartfelt thanks you to very special neighbors, a special family friend, Arkansas Hospice and first responders for their unwavering support and care during this time.

In accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, he wanted to be remembered by enjoying time with loved ones, taking your kids or grandkids fishing or hunting, sharing a beer with friends. Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him, and we will forever cherish our dear Bill.
