Athel Troy Chandler

Troy Chandler, 89, of Pencil Bluff, formerly of Carlisle died at home with his loving wife of 37 years, Ann, at his side on July 26, 2021. He was born April 15, 1932 in Carlisle, AR.

Troy graduated from Carlisle High School in May 1950 and joined the Army National Guard shortly after. He spent most of his adult life in security and law enforcement. He was on Carlisle City Council and was auxiliary Police Chief for a few years before retiring from Remington Arms.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Georgia Chandler, his first wife, Emma Dean Castleberry Chandler, and his step-son, Bill Barnes.

In addition to his wife Ann, he leaves behind 3 sons, Rick (Sheree), Jeff and Mike Chandler; 3 daughters, Tanya (Russell) Autry, Marcie (David) Aldridge, and Tina Chandler, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Oreo.

Many days you could find him working in the yard or in his shop with 3 of his grandchildren, Jake, Eric, and Jadyn, who stole his heart and became his best little helpers on the farm.

The family would like to thank the paramedics who responded to the call. We would also like to thank the congregation of Lone Valley Church for all of their love and support.
